WK 15 Blog Exercise - Interactions Between the 3 Levels

Representational
This is an image of a chemical tanker that looks like a giant cigarette. The representational of it is to highlight the toxic smoke in cigarette. If you say "cigarette" to anyone, they will have an image stored in their mind of smokes, cancer, addiction, etc, from their environment or experiences. From this picture, viewers can think of or know how serious and dangerous of a cigarette is.

Abstract
This is an abstraction of a cigarette. Even though it already is a abstract image of a cigarette, but the shape of it can never be erase. From this image the viewer can see a cigarette cannot be done without smoke. The impact of it can be really serious, like it can affect the grow of children. The abstraction in the photo is symbolic to the meaning and the representation is the whole in the abstraction. 

Symbolic



his is a symbol of a cigarette. It is an abstract image that has been given meaning by being placed on a forbid sign. The viewer can see this sign everywhere, it communicates to its viewer a message of no-smoking area. This is an alert for the smokers to not smoking. There are more and more different symbols of SMOKING image for people to quit smoke because it is not only affecting yourself, it is affecting others too.
